Notification: Call for papers for the Third Conference of National Safety Science and Emergency Management

In recent years, the national situation of work safety has been stable and good, but serious accidents have not been effectively controlled. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, President Xi Jinping has put forward higher requirements for the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity. As an important indicator of the modernization level of the national governance, emergency management has a long way to go. We need to further grasp the new problems, new ideas, new technologies, new processes and new methods of China's safety science and emergency management in the new era, explore the new trends and new developments of theory and practice in relevant fields, promote the sustainable and healthy development of safety production, disaster prevention and mitigation and emergency rescue capacity, system and technology, improve the competencies of scholars and practitioners in the field of safety and emergency management, and deepen exchanges. On the basis of the first and second National Safety Science Theory Seminars respectively organized and held by North China Institute of Science and Technology, the Third National Safety Science and Emergency Management Symposium is planned to be held in North China Institute of Science and Technology from October 19 to 20, 2019. The contents of the meeting and related paper calling are hereby notified as follows:

2. Content of Conference

The meeting will focus on the basic theory of safety science, the basic theory of emergency management, the basic theory of mine safety, engineering technology and management, chemical safety and technical management, urban public safety, safety science and emergency management education, disaster prevention, mitigation and relief and other scientific issues related to emergency management, basic theory, technology and engineering.

According to the theme and content of the meeting, the contributors can choose their own topics and write papers; the papers can be written in both Chinese and English. The papers should not have been reported in national academic conferences or published in public journals. Some excellent papers in the meeting will be recommended to the Journal of Coal Industry, Coal Science and Technology, China Journal of Safety Science and Technology, and Journal of North China University of Science and Technology. We will select excellent authors to attend the meeting and inform them before September 20, 2019.
