Delegation Led by Guo Chao, President of Hunan Vocational Institute of Safety Technology, Visiting IDP

On the morning of December 3, 2018, Guo Chao, president of Hunan Vocational Institute of Safety Technology, led a delegation visited IDP for investigation and exchange. Liu Chunping, vice president of the school, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Heads of Academic Affairs Office, Teaching Evaluation and Construction Office, and School of Emergency Management attended the meeting presided over by Liu Chunping.

At the meeting, Guo Chao introduced the development history and school running situation of Hunan Vocational Institute of Safety Technology, and pointed out that as an institute of safety technology and management, it is complementary to our school's professional foundation. He hoped to learn from the experience of disaster emergency management specialty construction and industry education integration, so as to plan and promote the functional orientation adjustment and comprehensive specialty group construction to adapt to the national disaster prevention, mitigation and relief system and mechanism reform.

Liu Chunping briefly introduced the construction and development situation, institutional setting, development strategy and planning, disaster emergency management related specialty and construction achievements of IDP. He hoped that both sides would actively strengthen exchanges in personnel training and discipline construction, jointly improve the quality of talent training and serve the development of national emergency management.

Heads the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Emergency Management respectively introduced the personnel training system and quality, the achievements of discipline construction and laboratory construction, as well as the training situation and planning of emergency management specialty in IDP. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues of common concern.

Guo Chao and his party also visited the disaster emergency disposal laboratory, rescue technology and equipment laboratory, disaster simulation laboratory, underground structure and engineering geology test site.
